NIOS TOC (Transfer of Credit) Admission
What is NIOS TOC Admission?
NIOS TOC, or Transfer of Credit, is a special scheme offered by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for students who have already passed some subjects from a recognized board but want to switch to NIOS to complete their education. Under this scheme, students can transfer credits from their previous board exams and don’t need to reappear for those subjects.
This makes NIOS TOC a flexible and convenient option for students who may have struggled with a few subjects and now want to focus on the remaining ones without starting from scratch.
Eligibility for NIOS TOC Admission
If you are thinking of enrolling in NIOS through TOC, you must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Students must be at least 14 years of age for the Secondary (Class 10) level and at least 15 years for the Senior Secondary (Class 12) level.
- Passed Subjects: You must have passed up to two subjects from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, etc.) in your previous examinations.
- Subjects for TOC: Only subjects with a matching syllabus from the previous board and NIOS can be transferred. Ensure that the subjects you’ve passed are available in the NIOS curriculum.
